The Arts and Crafts movement of the early 1900's gave birth to the Bungalow style. As referenced in "A Field Guide to American Houses" a bungalow is a One Story house plan, rich in woodwork details. Features such as roofs with deep overhangs, exposed beams and rafter tails, porches with oversized columns sitting on low piers of brick or stone and prominent stone or brick fireplaces and gabled or shed dormers. Our collection shows house plans with these features in an affordable version.
